Prof. Ertekin was born in 1970 in Karşıyaka. He graduated from Dept. of Agricultural Machinery, Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University. He has completed his MSc in 1995 and PhD in 2001 in Department of Dept. of Agricultural Machinery in Akdeniz University. He worked as a Research Assistant between 1992 and 2001, Lecturer between 2003-2006, Assistant Professor Dr. between 2003-2006 and got degree of Associated Professor title in 2006. He became a Professor in 2012. His main expertise field is energy usage in agriculture, solar energy applications and drying technology. He is currently working as a head of Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering. He has more than one hundred papers including 39 SCI journals. He has about 1100 citations for his SCI papers and has h-index of 14.
